How About
All of the Albums from Red Rose
|
While some cards are marked Canadian and some American, I am only aware of one type of album, usually with a Canadian address on the back.
We've got all the covers in here. What if you want to see the real thing? You could check out what
Bill has to sell and get some REAL stuff, not just computer images. Now there's a thought....

This is what the cover of the Songbirds
of North America looks like. This is the first series and hence the first
album to have come out. This series was unavailable in the US as it was
not until series 2 that the US got a shot at the Red Rose tea cards. There
are two variations, check it out at Red Rose Album Variations.

This is what the cover of the Animals of
North America album looks like. This is the first album (and cards of
course) available in the US. It's also the first album to have an insert
in it. Check out what the insert looks like at Album Inserts.
All of the covers that I have seen are very glossy and easily crinkle. To
find one in good shape is a challenge.
Series

And how about the cover of the Wild Flowers of North
America album. The covers are glossy as well and one in good
condition is tough to find.

The Birds of North
America album has glossy covers too but they don't seem to damage as
easily. Maybe that's just me.

This is what the cover of the Dinosaurs album looks like. The dinos seem to be the most collectable because of their dual appeal both to the tea card collector and the collector of any dino related items.

This is what the cover of the Tropical Birds album looks like.
The British Brooke Bond counterpart also issued a very similar series with the
same name.
hmmmmmm...... seems like Bill is missing a few....... quite a
few............... Oh well, they're coming eventually............

This is the original Animals & Their Young album cover. It's a great album and there are two versions of cards to collect. The series was re-issued in 1990. The new albums cost $1 instead of .25¢. The dollar label is shown below. Click it to see a comparison of the new album and cards to the old.

This is what the cover of the Arctic album looks like. For me this series is interesting in that some of the cards could easily fit into other series. Overlaps include Space, Animals of NA, Flowers of NA and Birds of NA. Bill could make a really bad joke and tell you how "cool" the album is but he's not like that.... is he?
